Ms. Zarta Gier has worked since 1992 as an environmental professional with specific skills in natural resources management, focusing on surface and groundwater hydrology, environmental remediation, regulatory implementation and compliance and site assessments in both the Northeast and Midwest United States. She has worked within state regulatory agencies as a regulator, and in the private sector as a client representative.
Ms. Zarta Gier's direct responsibilities include:
- Environmental site assessment;
- Providing technical support on environmental liabilities for mergers and acquisitions between large corporations;
- Evaluation and development of solutions to water supply problems caused by over-appropriation / use and water quality issues;
- Data collection and management for purposes of analysis, including GIS and computer modeling and presentation products;
- Development of proptocol and in-field measurements;
- Development of watershed management plans;
- Project management;
- Mediation for conflict resolution including negotiation with and for regulatory agencies.
